Wind Energy and Climate Change: A Proposal for a Strategic Initiative
is a white paper from the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) that describes a 10-point plan
to stimulate wind energy development in the U.S. According to AWEA, the Initiative could result in
30,000 megawatts (MW) of wind capacity being installed nationwide by the year 2010, reducing U.S.
emissions of carbon dioxide, the leading greenhouse gas, by 100 million metric tons each year.
