Richard Glick, Commissioner, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
FERC Commissioner Richard Glick will serve as one of the keynote speakers for the upcoming conference. FERC is an independent U.S. agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil. Before joining the Commission, Commissioner Glick was general counsel for the Democrats on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, serving as a senior policy advisor on numerous issues including electricity and renewable energy. Prior to that, Commissioner Glick was vice president of government affairs for Iberdrola’s renewable energy, electric and gas utility, and natural gas storage businesses in the United States.
Doreen Harris, Vice President of Large-Scale Renewables, New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA)
Doreen Harris of NYSERDA will serve as another keynote speaker at the conference. Ms. Harris manages the centralized long-term procurement and strategic advancement of utility-scale renewable resources in New York under the state’s nation-leading Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act and oversees future policy design, program rule development, stakeholder outreach and market development mechanisms. Ms. Harris also leads the State’s strategic effort to spur responsible and cost-effective development of New York’s offshore wind resource. Ms. Harris received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a Master of Business Administration from the University at Albany.
