The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) partners with a network of regional organizations to promote the growth of the wind industry around the country. Membership in these organizations include wind industry companies, environmental advocates, and representatives of solar and other renewable industries, as well as AWEA.
In collaboration with AWEA’s State Program, Regional Partners may work with electric utilities, Regional Transmission Operators (RTOs), Independent System Operators (ISOs), federal power marketing agencies, and others on a broad range of state legislative and regulatory activities to develop wind markets and remove market barriers.
AWEA encourages member companies and other advocates to participate with these groups in their region.
The Alliance for Clean Energy New York's mission is to promote the use of clean, renewable electricity technologies and energy efficiency in New York State in order to increase energy diversity and security, boost economic development, improve public health and reduce air pollution.
The AWEA California Caucus (ACC) is the voice of the utility-scale wind industry in California. ACC's team develops and communicates strategic and technical advice to key decision-makers to ensure an affordable, reliable, and clean energy future for the State of California.
