Clean Air
Wind energy provides a zero emissions energy source and can
provide the country with cost-effective emission reductions. AWEA seeks recognition for wind energy in
clean air and climate change policies.
AWEA seeks recognition by:
- Advocating the development of wind energy as a mechanism to displace emissions in order to reach state, regional, and national emission reduction policy goals.
- Supporting and encouraging the inclusion of wind energy in market-based emission reduction policies, such as cap and trade programs, through allocation of allowance value.
