WHY The time for action is now to save and create jobs and attract manufacturing investment.  The U.S. wind energy industry urges the U.S. Senate and the White House to move quickly and bring legislation to the floor by July 12 that includes a national Renewable Electricity Standard (RES) to promote renewable energy generation along with associated manufacturing opportunities.  Many wind turbine component manufacturers have almost ceased receiving orders because of the slowdown in power purchase agreements and uncertainty regarding a long term policy for renewable energy
