Strong wind energy educational efforts benefit the entirety of the wind industry, from increasing awareness and advocacy among students of all ages, to building industry knowledge and specific skills in the industry’s future leaders. AWEA works to implement such efforts in various ways, across all age groups. AWEA educational efforts include: instating wind energy education in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms, assisting in preparing college and university students for a career in wind through career training programs, and exercising a commitment to wind industry workforce development.
