AWEA Health and Safety Committee

In an effort to increase awareness and promote worker safety and health within the wind energy industry, AWEA's Board of Directors formed the AWEA Safety and Health Committee. AWEA is committed to developing and creating appropriate safety and health training programs, educational materials, and best practices for all sectors of the wind industry.

The purpose of the AWEA Safety and Health Committee is:

  • promote safety and health within the wind industry and achieve a safe workplace for all;

  • provide a forum to exchange information on industry best practices, lessons learned and regulatory requirements;

  • actively engage the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); and other federal agencies as needed, on regulatory activities and other cooperative partnerships; and

  • ensure that all members have a voice and participate in facilitating the committee's activities to further the goals of continuous improvement.

All AWEA business members are welcome to join the AWEA Safety and Health Committee and its subcommittees. Please contact the AWEA Membership Department to get involved.
