The 3rd AWEA Wind Power Project Siting Workshop and the AWEA Member Forum were held on February 22 - 23, 2006 in Washington, DC. Over 140 total registrants participated in these two back-to-back events. The Siting Workshop focused on the various ways that wind power projects affect - and don't affect - elements of the human and natural environment. The Member Forum provided AWEA Business Members with strategies for building public acceptance including investment in public education and collaboration.
