The AWEA Wind Energy Fall Symposium sets the stage for sharing successes, strategies, and lessons-learned with your wind energy industry peers. This exclusive, top-tier event is one of the only venues where AWEA’s committees, working groups, and Board of Directors convene face-to-face. It’s a ‘Who’s Who’ of those who are driving the wind energy industry forward. And as an attendee, you will receive premier education that arms you with information, industry trends, and innovations you need to operate in an ever-changing marketplace, giving you a competitive edge to advance your organization and enhance your career.

Community Engagement Seminar (co-located)

This highly interactive seminar has been designed by and for experienced developers of U.S. wind farms, and is also applicable to those newer to the field. It will discuss best practices for community engagement and feature some of the latest research about the practices that produce results. Participants will have multiple chances during the afternoon to discuss notable successes and failures with their peers. Learn more >>

Meet the next phase of Emerging Leaders

While the event will be full of wind energy business leaders and CEOs discussing how to advance the wind energy industry, the future of wind energy’s success will be in the hands of today’s emerging leaders. Engaging these up-and-coming individuals is critical to carrying out any long-term strategy. Our Fall Symposium is the perfect atmosphere for veteran decision-makers and wind energy rising stars to come together and share their experiences.

How can you support the Next Generation of Wind Industry Leaders?

Nominate or Express Interest in being an Emerging Leader:  Identify the high potential staff at your company and nominate them to attend Fall Symposium 2015, or contact us if you are interested in participating as an Emering Leader. Emerging leaders must be first time Fall Symposium attendees and have no more than 5 years of experience in the wind industry. There are limited emerging leader spots available so we encourage you to act quickly to ensure your brightest next generation staff register early to participate. Emerging Leaders receive a 50% discount on registration.  Email conference@awea.org to indicate interest in the program and receive a discount code that can be used to register as an emerging leader.

Volunteer to be a Mentor:  Email conference@awea.org to sign up to be a mentor. The only requirements are that you attend and register for Fall Symposium 2015 and be available to welcome and interact with our Emering Leaders. Mentors and Emerging Leaders will be identified by ribbons on their badges.
