Small Wind Electric Systems — A U.S. Consumer’s Guide
Developed by the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory, this guide (now available as an online wiki) helps consumers walk through the process of evaluating and installing a small wind turbine. The site includes an extensive list of links to resources such as websites, fact sheets, podcasts, and presentations about small wind.

This site provides information on the latest small wind turbine research, homeowner information, wind energy basics, and links to wind publications and organizations.

Wind for Schools
The U.S. Department of Energy's Wind for Schools Project installs small wind turbines at rural elementary and secondary schools as learning tools. In conjunction, Wind Application Centers at higher education institutions help develop the projects and provide hands-on learning opportunities for university students.

USDA Rural Energy for America Program
The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) provides assistance to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to complete a variety of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. REAP offers loan guarantees and grants for eligible applicants.
