Managing Director-Energy Investments
John Eber manages J.P.Morgan’s activities for tax motivated equity investments in energy assets. He directs a team of 20 professionals who originate, structure and execute investments, and advise other equity co-investors. Since 2003 Eber has been responsible for approximately $9.8 billion of renewable energy tax equity including financings for 10,266 MW of wind power in 94 wind farms in 20 states; 93 MW of solar power in one concentrating solar power plant; 12 distributed generation PV plants and one residential PV portfolio; and 12 geothermal projects totaling 254 MW. Eber has been a member of the AWEA Board since 2007, and he is a frequent panelist and speaker for organizations including AWEA, the Solar Energy Industries Association, and the American Council on Renewable Energy. Eber received a B.S. in economics from Bradley University, and an M.B.A. with a specialization in finance from DePaul University.
