I manage the Education & Member Experience team within AWEA which is focused on developing our educational programs for both in-person and online events as well as planning and implementing all of AWEA's conferences and seminars. I personally spend a large part of my time working on WINDPOWER (AWEA's annual conference and exhibition) including site selection, hotel and convention center relations, vendor facilitation, registration, sponsorship implementation, catering, special events, and the on-site attendee experience.
To me, it’s important to work for an organization and an industry that I personally support. Renewable energy is a growing part of our future energy portfolio, so it’s nice to know that my hard work will help advance wind energy in some small way. Plus, the AWEA staff and our business members are top-notch, and it’s a pleasure to work with and for them each day.
Prior to AWEA, I worked in energy and environmental consulting. I hold a bachelor’s in Integrated Science and Technology, with double concentrations in Energy and Environment, from James Madison University.
