Here’s what we do to help wind power a cleaner, stronger America:

We educate lawmakers & the public about wind energy

Wind energy is affordable, clean, abundant – and made in the USA. That’s why AWEA makes the case for wind energy to policy makers and the public. See why wind energy is good for America, and why Americans want more of it.

We advocate for wind energy policy on Capitol Hill and across states

AWEA works with Congress and state legislatures to pass legislation that ensures America develops its rich wind resource.

In particular, we advocate for policies that extend the federal Production Tax Credit (PTC); establish state Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS); support successful siting and permitting of wind projects by government agencies; and strengthen the small, community-scale and offshore segments of the industry.

We host the wind industry’s premier annual conference

Every year, AWEA hosts WINDPOWER®, the largest wind energy conference and exhibition in North America. Presenters highlight the latest industry trends, technology innovation, and renewable energy policy developments. WINDPOWER also provides unmatched access to wind industry business and technology leaders.
